Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy
Each Economic Development District (EDD) is required by the Economic Development Agency (EDA) to complete a regional Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) every 5 years. STC's CEDS is being written to meet the EDA Guidelines and to address the specific concerns of our region. The CEDS process began in the summer of 2015 and has been underway for several months. The 2016-2021 CEDS incorporates elements from several recent economic development plans (see the resource links below).
The Economic Development, Policy, & Strategy Committee reviewed the public comments and recommended changes to the CEDS; then the committee recommended the CEDS for approval by the STC Board. STC's Board reviewed and adopted the 2016-2021 CEDS at the 2/18/2016 meeting. Then the complete and final CEDS was submitted to the EDA.
The adopted CEDS will be distributed to all Towns, Cities, & Villages in the region. Printed copies will be available at the Regional Leadership Conference, or you can call STC's office to request a CD. Please call if you have any questions.
The reviewed and Board approved 2016 STC Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy.
